Mo Brooks announced he is running for Alabama Senate seat
Mobile, Ala. (WPMI) —
Representative from Alabama's 5th district Mo Brooks announced today he's running for Attorney General, Jeff Sessions', old senate seat.
In an effort to reach out to supporters Brooks toured the state announcing his bid.
He spoke in Downtown Mobile today, Monday, May 15. He started his tour in Huntsville this morning telling people, congress is not doing its job.
"Congress is failing the american people by not rising to the challenges that we face and because I am the only candidate for the senate who has a proven record of conservative leadership".
The winner of the senate seat in the December general election will be the first Alabama senator chosen by voters other than Richard Shelby or Jeff Sessions since January 1997.
Currently in the race is, Senator Luther Strange, Representative Ed Henry, former Chief Justice Roy Moore and Randy Brinson.
