Juvenile sets fire to Thomasville Walmart
Thomasville, Ala. (WPMI) —
The Thomasville Walmart was evacuated on July 15 due to a fire in the pet supply aisle.
Thomasville fire and police evacuated the store and extinguished the fire quickly.
Before the store could be reopened, there was a lot of smoke and residue from the extinguishers and took hours to clear the smoke from the building.
A juvenile from Marengo County was arrested for Arson 1st degree several hours after the fire had been put out.
Public Health has completed an inspection and the majority of the store has reopened. Other isles will reopen as they are cleaned.
