U.S. Marshals have been on the hunt for Kelvin Montgomery -a man wanted for attempted murder and other violent crimes out of Tennessee.

Montgomery was using a false name while on the run.

He called himself Mike Miller and insisted his victim a woman who had been missing for almost two years use a fake name too.

Rafael Kieffer says has always thought his boating neighbor here at Barbers Marina was odd.

That neighbor a man he knew as Mike turned out to be Kelvin Montgomery a man wanted for attempted murder, assault and rape in Tennessee.

Last night Montgomery's girlfriend - a woman Kieffer knew as Amy - came to him crying.

Turns out Amy is really a woman by the name of Shasta Naumann - a woman who had been reported missing for two years by her family in Arkansas.

What few here in South Alabama know is that Montgomery has a criminal past. He was sentenced to 12 years in prison after a woman in Tennessee accused him of date raping her.

Police say Montgomery jumped bail and skipped town before he was supposed to begin serving his sentence.

The Tennessee victim speaking here to CBS affiliate WREG feared he would strike again.

Montgomery has not been charged with any crime yet here in Orange Beach. Police are trying to piece all of this together. he's in Orange Beach jail now.
