Alabama lawmakers vote on abortion ban
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WPMI) —
Today the Alabama senate will vote on a proposal to ban abortion in the state constitution.
If at least 21 of 35 senators vote for it, it would go to voters for approval.
The house passed the bill back in March.
Supporters say it will position the state to ban abortion in the event the U.S. Supreme court overturns Roe V. Wade.
