It’s time to cruise the coast!
Thanksgiving may still be a month away, but this weekend you can be a thanksgiving turkey! For every runner in the 7th annual Prodisee Pantry Turkey Trot and 5k fun run, one holiday turkey feeds a family in need. The 5K is Saturday at 8AM and the fun run is at 9AM. Expect 9 tons of turkeys and 10 tons of holiday food. The Turkey Trot fest includes inflatables and family games. Last year more than 1500 families were fed.
Are you hungry for a little fright? Explore the Seward Farms field of fright. Experience the dark corners of the corn field at dusk. This Saturday the field will have clever twists and surprises! The zombies are instructed not to touch! This is a family fun event.
The battle of the belt is tonight. The south Alabama Jags host in state rival Troy at Ladd Peebles Stadium. Tailgate kickoff is at 6:30 where you can sample free food and beverages from more than 20 vendors.
You can’t forget about the giant spiders, spooky eyes, tumbling scarecrows and friendly ghosts at this year’s Thriller Nights of Lights. They are just a few of the displays you will see dancing to fun music. It is 26 minutes of music that is played throughout your car radio. It’s open dusk till 10PM expect on Friday’s when they have midnight madness. It is open through Halloween.
To Orange Beach, relax and enjoy a spooky movie in the lawn at the wharf. Showtime is at 7:30PM with Hotel Transylvania 2 filling the big screen at 7:30. Before the show it will be festive fall family-fun with the hayrides, pony rides, complimentary popcorn and free hot chocolate.
The band Heart takes to the stage at the IP Casino Resort and Spa Friday at 8PM.
ZZ Top will be at the Beau Rivage Casino Resort and Spa Friday night at 8PM.
